About Me

I'm a software engineer, guitarist, and an avid reader just trying to learn about the world we live in.

I have a keen interest in using my skillset to help solve real world problems. I'm always in search of places where I can apply my skills to help make life better.

Experience

My professional experience in a nutshell

Royal Dutch Shell

As a part of the agilehub (a sub organisation in Shell which follows the agile methodology), I'm working on a product team which delivers features for a B2B e-commerce marketplace for lubricants, a CMMS application which helps business owners track their machinery and schedule various lubricant services. I've also worked on delivering features for a chatbot which uses NLP to interact with the user and deliver useful information to them.

CPPSecrets.com

During my undergraduation, I interned at cppsecrets.com where I conducted a workshop called "C++ Made Easier" on behalf of cppsecrets which focussed on exploring the STL library in C++. I've also written articles on topics like "GUI development in python using tkinter", "Creating a chat application using python", etc.

What I'm good at?

Here are some of the things I'm interested in and good at

Backend Development

I use SOLID principles to build robust backend APIs. I can work in python(django, flask), Nodejs(express), and Go. I've worked on creating RESTful APIs as well as GraphQL APIs. The databases I've worked with include PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL.

Data Science

I've used/experimented with various data science and machine learning to solve problems in personal and academic projects. I've used a Convolutional Neural Network to classify the pieces on a chess board, and used various models for sentiment analysis of financial documents.
